6 months here in Canada. It's somewhat of a moronic practice in the cases where both spouses have good jobs and decent assets of their own. Even if their is a divorce and one spouse is left on welfare, alimony should only last as long as it takes for the government to retrain and assist the spouse find a good job.sunnyside wrote:
