You can never trust a politician but she is an especially bad example.
Actually I meant why does she have such a fanatical support base. The only thing that seperates her from Obama are her sex and race, her stance is virtually identical to his.

I think very frequently we oversimplify the differences between the parties and sometimes people outside the U.S. assume that the Democrats are pretty much "liberals." It's not really true. There are an awful lot of very bigoted white midwestern Democrats who still have major issues with race but vote Dem because they're union labor, or used to be.

I've said a few times that the most Conservative politician in Canada wouldn't be right of center in the US. Really what the US has is right and more to the right.

Its partly because of her being a woman ect. But at the moment they are so fanatical because of her never say die attitude.

She is the roll model for every middle class white person who has been over looked and left behind. She is the personification of a very large number of very angry people.

Well they aren't wildly different. But there is stuff.

Hillary is seen as more gun friendly. Especially recently.
Hillary appeals more the the middle class with her policy, especially unions.
but often with those two it more about exactly how good a deal are they promising illegal immegrants, how fast they'll pull out of Iraq, and the technique with which they will suck Ahmadinejads cock.

Wow. That sounded more republican than I really am. Though that is about what the deal is.

Still there is also the difference in how they are perceived. Hillary is dirty, Obama is inexperienced. Obama appeals to urbanites, looks down on more rural people.

They are both very different from McCain and if you don't get that you're either very uninformed or to be "different" enough for you one has to advocate sex with monkeys or something.

Did someone say they were not different from McCain?

Which makes the whole thing rather odd. How can you love one candidate and hate the other when they are pretty much the same thing.

For me the only difference between Obama and Hillary is the attitude, Hillary's is horrible and Obama actually gives me hope that the US could be unfucked.

I think that's a lot of it. I mean a bunch of the people here seem to really dislike Hillary. A lot of people just find her scuzzy.

However some people thing people like you are just sexist pigs.

Others think Obama is going to strip away their gun rights or get their house forclosed through taxes or losing working class jobs while focusing on really poor people instead of the middle class. Others really don't like the wright business.

And others (like me) don't care either way. Both of them will do a bad job, so why worry about it? :D

Obama has the nomination now, Hillary's said she'd be open to a VP slot if it would help the party in november. It was on Yahoo! earlier. I guess we'll see what happens...I'm so mad I can't vote this election!

Juuust barely. It would be hilarious if the votes come in a little low and he's short by one.

Ironic that Hillary has been pushing to add Michigan and Florida all this time but they're what will likely give Obama the delegates needed to end this.

Will bw interesting to see if she drops out or stays in.

I doubt Obama will make her VP. To much bad blood.

How many Minbari does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
None. They always surrender right before they finish the job and never tell you why.

oh Wait I've just found a load of hanging chads down the back of my sofa, turns out that Johnston won it fair and square and didn't have to resort to assassination to win
