Star Trek: Conquest for the Wii

Post by twitch2oh »

I want to write a review for the Wii game "Star Trek: Conquest", but there is no game listed there. How do I get this added?

You need a 'What the hell is this game?' option. :P

I treated 'When did this come out?' as that option. The metacritic scores appear to stink royally.

I saw Conquest in Best Buy but honestly I could not tell the difference, visually, between it and Legacy. I was waiting to find out more info before looking into it any further. Is it just a WII port of Legacy?

No offense but the graphics in Legacy didn't much save the fact that the game really blew and didn't have any depth to it. So I don't tend to take that much into account, especially with niche games like Trek or strategy.

Dont get Legacy x.x

Oho, i thought, spying it in GAME. "Why dont i get this and play it so i can pretend that i actually KNOW something about treck to the guys on DITL"

Two hours and about 60 lives later i kinda gave up xD I hate that game, and now its tarnished my 360 profile by being listed on it... why can you only fire torpedoes out of the top of your ship?! Who the hell designed that? I can only ever do any damage with borg ships, and only THATS because they dont have any tops or sides so they can just shoot out of the everywhere.

Really? I found Legacy really easy. And it was pretty good on Xbox 360. But shite on computer.

I pretty much only play Trek games on the PC because then at least you can mod them. Actually, that's true of almost everything--- Morrowind, Oblivion, my RPG's and strategy games I always stick to PC because of the moddability. Star Trek Bridge Commander is pretty much unparalleled so far in terms of being a very easily, safely moddable Trek game with very close to a "this is Trek" feel to it as opposed to nearly all other Trek games. With fairly simple modding you can make ships pretty much 100% canon (even down to what side of the ship weapons are on, how many torpedo tubes, how many torpedoes can shoot at one time, etc.) Legacy just totally lacked that.... let's see I just mash the button when my phaser bar is charged, and spam my 4 torpedoes when they reload. Yeah.

Ohhh yeah. im with you there, especially for Oblivion, actually.. the number of awsome patches i've found for that (you know, ones that actually give the Kajeit and Argonians propper facial expressions and new facial options for everyone) that i cant use becaue i've got the 360 version.. gack.

Heh, well, yeah... but while it is realistic, i wouldnt really want to make that game any more frantic. But maybe thats just me being bad at it.
