Now your only argument is that your character has a higher rank. Well - that's your fault. You made your character with a high rank, you can remake it with a lower one.

No you're mearly confusing which you I was refering to.

At no point has my character ever shown anything attributes that are anywhere near being 'snotty nosed brat'. It was personal to me, we both know it. I'm not confusing anything, in my first quote I put Out of story. That is me. Not my character. My character is in story. I am out of story. You had a problem, with me personally - and yes, gee, I did figure that out all by myself.

...Its probably a bad idea me stepping into this anyway.. If dusk gets told that he doesnt know the whole story then im sure that im gonna get told i dont know whats what, either.. But... just taking a look at this...

While its unfair for Blackstar to take over an entire department, as far as i can tell thats not really what shi's trying to do. I mean, if you got fighters you need a fighter wing, and while that should ALLWAYS be co-ordinated with ship defencei dont see a reason for it to be subservient to it, as its sort of a different kettle of fish. I dunno, im not good with the whole ranking thing..

What i DO know from first hand experience is that, like Dusk said, if you dont step outside the box for a second and try to think of ways for people to comfortable fit into the RP, then all its going to do is end up in hissy fits like this. I know i probably bitch about it too much but my last semi-treck RP was in, the Commanders were so wrapped up about senority and ranks and "you cant do that", both IC AND OOC, that it meant that everyone else lower down in the chain felt marginalised. I might be trying to apply amodel here that doesnt work, but you cant just go "Oh, well done, now shove off" to blackstar just because hir origional task is Mission Complete. You said it yourself, guys, shi doesnt really have a reason to stick around - so GIVE hir one, without making it scrubbing the latrines or something! Make hir feel like shi isnt being kicked in the head by higher ups all the time and, golly gosh, maybe shi'l wont feel like shi's being maltreated all the time and get along with you guys better!

...Meep. well, sorry to rant... I dont mean to slap anyone in the face with the gauntlet here, but... Well, Blackies my friend.. and, besides, OOC drama as well as IC drama allways tears down an Rp...

On the plus side, Blackstar, you are still firmly in control of this RP. You are the captain, you know.

Oh, and my character is as agreeable as I am, so you won't get any power trips from him. Although he has a personal agenda, he'd never let his thirst for revenge endanger the crew. Of course, I still have to find a good place to slip in here...

Incorrect. We had no problem with you becoming a pilot. You pointed out that you were of higher rank than Thorin, and that that fact might cause problems. We proposed numerous sollutions to that, all of which you ignored. This conflict stems from you flat out refusing to be answerable to him, or not being head of your own department.

I've already answered this earlier in my post. The problem is not that Blackstar wants to command fighters, the problem is that her current rank would mean she would be Thorin's superior officer, despite Thorin being in charge of the department. We've proposed numerous compromises and sollutions to this problem, but the fact is that Blackstar refuses flat out to answer to Thorin.

As a matter of fact, it was shi hirself who said hir reason for being on the ship was at an end. None of us even bothered with hir character's time-limit mission. Indeed, I was more than happy to let M'Real stay for as long as she wished. It was Blackstar who brought up the subject of needing something to do. We've proposed numerous alternative positions that shi can occupy, but shi's turned down all of them.

Secondly, any shit shi's getting from the senior officers is caused by hir own actions. My character tends not to bother people as long as they don't piss him off in some way or another. The problem in this case is that M'Real's actions convinced him she was trying to take him down, and she kept flaunting shipboard rules which simply couldn't be ignored. I've proposed numerous ways for her to get back on my character's good side, but, again, shi's ignored all of them and merely kept digging the hole shi made for hirself even deeper.

No problem. But, like Dusk, the problem is that you don't really know what's going on. Still, loyalty is to be commended.

Yes, Thorin and Rochey helped it overflow into here after I mentioned I had been busy with that arguement.

I agree. It could also serve as an alternate introduction for my character, instead of the one I already posted.
