The riots and mutilations in israel accounting for over 339 injured jews and 133 dead jews(1920-1,1229) at the beginning of the twentieth century when israel was under the british mandate do somewhat show that the indigenous jews have often been regarded with animosity by the arabs pre 1947.


"Aleihum" (get them) and "Itbach Al Yahood" - murder the Jews have been common rallying cries.

Now i'm not courting any bitchyness nor aggression from anyone here,just stating what i know.
Personally and i know that this is probably grossly offensive to all, but since jews have not been blowing themselves up in the london underground or buses, nor flying into skyscrapers, and since there were documented palestinian street parties on 9/11 and 7/7, i say F**k Fatah/Harakat al-Tahrir al-Watani al-Filastini and F**k Hamas/harakat al-muqāwamah al-islāmiyyah, same to al-jabhah al-dīmūqrātiyyah li-tahrīr filastīn and al-jabhah al-sha`biyyah li-tahrīr filastīn, in israel i could freely say this without my political and social rights being affected, however in palestinian areas, my mortality would be all too obvious.

That the Israeli's got a rough deal or had to put up with shite is not in dispute. However, right now they are abusing their power and authority. 1701 casualties is a paltry amount considering how many Palestinians have been killed or displaced.

Yes and when things were handled nicely like that they managed to live together quite nicely. But when you come in and take a lot of prime realestate... things dont go quite so well.

As far as Palestinian casualties, Kendall - can you break out how many of those were related to RETURN fire from the Israelis? When you were in the service, did you ever decide that you weren't going to return fire because it might have been dangerous to the guy who was shooting at you? In the rash of Hamas rocket attacks 2 - 3 months ago, did you notice that those Hamas rockets caused FAR more Palestinian casualties than any Israeli fire did?

I'm not sure what your getting at, I've never been in combat nor had to fire live rounds at someone. There are however clearly defined Rules Of Engagement for such things, depending on the military in question. Unfortunatly I don't know anyone in the IDF Combat Arms.

Do you know why? It's because Hamas did it to make the Israeli's look worse. Once again no one is claiming that the Palestinians are saints but rather that the Israeli's are abusing their position. They didn't have to wall off or disenfranchise the Palestinians, they chose to on their own.

Actually, all I've seen is support one way or the other, or one side being held accountable for acts for which the other side isn't. If this is a case of perception becoming reality, then I apologize - I don't have a third party reading the posts to me.

It's a common misconception. There is a fellow in the Air Force that got it from unloading caskets. All it takes is trauma.

Yes they have. However we are (largely) talking about Israeli actions. Just because one side is getting slammed doesn't mean that the other is innocent.
