That's not exactly true, there are various types of shelter that are effective in a nuclear attack. A deep ditch can mean the difference between life and death, tall structures are not a good idea but a well built low concrete or brick building would be survivable outside a certain distance from ground zero. A Brinks armoured car would be decent as well.Teaos wrote:Thats because there is basically nothing you can do.

What does defeat mean to you?
Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

I'd be worried about the blast flipping the truck or collapsing a wall. I'd go for the ditch if any. I live close to a river. Helps with the heat to.

There's really no gaurantee, seeing as your not likely to know where it's hitting or the yeild. A ditch or basement would be my top choices.Teaos wrote:I'd be worried about the blast flipping the truck or collapsing a wall. I'd go for the ditch if any. I live close to a river. The real problem in that kind of situation is that even if you survive in a shelter sufficient to protect you from the direct blast and even the fallout, you have to basically hide for two, four weeks or more. Most people don't have ANYWHERE near that much food or most importantly water stored around to last that long without coming out.
