Don't know if this violates the posting rules, but I found this while trolling the 'net...

what do you think about these comparisons?

This has been one of my favorite images since I first saw it. I LOVE the Executor and it's grand scale: You just don't think of it as that massive. I won't get into "This will beat that", but damn what a great chart.

I wish there were cross-universe comparison charts like those here at DITL where I could compare two or three specific ships.

I also wish they had an Asgard mothership in these charts.

I agree. I was typing up some ships from other genres into the ship strength calculator and got some funny results. Be interesting to see some ships from those other universes. I'd be happy to lend a hand.

First off, I don't mind this being here - simply putting the ships next to one another doesn't count as a crossover / versus type thing to me at least.

Very cool pic!

I love to see all the different stuff next to one another... I am sorely tempted to steal it and stick all my own ship designs on! (The biggest ship I ever designed is three miles long, roughly.)

As for our size charts, adding ships is simplicity itself; you just upload the picture, put a title in the DB, add the length and two or three other bits of info, and that's that. The site does everything else automatically on the fly. I could cut all those ships out of that pic and add them in an hour or so.

Unfortunately, I can't really see any way to justify the "real" DITL having a bunch of ancient Earth sci-fi ships in their database! We have a strict rule that it must at least be mentioned somewhere in Star Trek to appear on our size charts - though we happily include stuff like 20th century aircraft, cars, etc. We even put the RMS Titanic in when Tom mentioned it in one episode of Voyager!

This is another good site for size comparisons - with the updated 19km length for the Executor rather than the rough estimate on the one Foxbat posted.
