That's why I tend to stagger my units out a bit when I'm facing someone with good blast weapons. It negates the effects of the blast, while still allowing your units to support each other pretty well.

Yeah, I tried that once before with the Necrons. I ended up with an armoured spear-head breaking straight through my ranks, and going full-throttle towards my base. Freakin' armour spam.....

Indeed, the Monolith can level whole armies if used wisely. Though it goes down hard to Earthshaker spam.

Quite true, which is why you spread the Basilisks out around the area.

Oh, right. In that case, I'll just wait 'till it comes out over here.

I got it on the weekend. It's pretty awsome - though i can see the campaign taking aaages. Hehe. The aircraft is a bit dissapointing, though, to me it doesnt really add that much of an extra dimension to the game. Well, at least, the IG bomber doesnt xD it's so vunerable!
Though, i was surprised with the modifcations they did to the tau. They seem to have toned down the damage and health of.. well, everything.
...Im not repeating earlier mentioned stuff, am i?

No you're not repeating, the tau weren't really the best made. There was nothing wrong with Tau health though. The problem was that the burst cannons were far to weak to do anything so that if you wanted to fight anyone you had to upgrade to the blasters. Which now gave you an army of nothing but anti tank weapons. Nothing could last very long against them which made them unfair if someone used only Stealths. They should have put a cap on the number of Stealths or a cap on how many blasters they get. Tau Fire warriors can't move and shoot, unlike every one else in the game. This makes them a very poor choice for a moble battle. Again forcing the player to use nothing but over souped XVs. Oh yeah, by the way, the crisis suits in this game suck hairy monkey balls.
