Board the Millennium Falcon and journey to a galaxy far, far away in Solo: A Star Wars Story, an all-new adventure with the most beloved scoundrel in the galaxy. Through a series of daring escapades deep within a dark and dangerous criminal underworld, Han Solo meets his mighty future copilot Chewbacca and encounters the notorious gambler Lando Calrissian, in a journey that will set the course of one of the Star Wars saga’s most unlikely heroes.
Solo: A Star Wars Story is slated for release on May 25, 2018.
A Star Wars movie is coming in 5 months, and we haven't gotten a teaser or trailer yet.

So the truly obvious thing to do with this movie is show/explain everything we know about Han's backstory. Basically every single thing he has ever said that he did, or that we know he did.
So I'm guessing :
Solo will meet Chewie.
Solo will win the Falcon from Lando in a gambling game. (It won't be in a high-end casino with a rebel looking on disapprovingly though.)
The Falcon will be a much nicer looking version of itself, newer, fresher and cleaner both outside and in. There may be some attempt to explain why it is so fast - Lando spent a fortune pimping out the engines or something.
Solo will outrun an Imperial starship. Not a local bulk cruiser mind you, I'm talking about a big Corellian ship now.
Somebody will mention the Force to Solo, and he will express ignorance of and disbelief in it. There will be an attempt to handwave this away by implying that the Empire wiped all the official records of the Jedi and tried to erase them from history or something.
Solo will perform the Kessel run in twelve parsecs. I predict this will be a major set-piece of the movie, possibly even the central event of the whole film. It will involve some brave but ultimately futile attempt to explain why parsecs are used as a unit or time, or to pretend that it wasn't used as a unit of time at all. Probably different from that weird black hole one.
Solo will become a smuggler. He'll maybe start off trying to be an honest businessman, but then will be forced by events to smuggle something. Then he'll go, "Hmmmm, this smuggling thing could be profitable..."
Solo will be a rogue, but with goodness on the inside. He will never do anything truly bad. (He will not shoot at anybody first.) He may well go to do something bad, then change his mind at the last second. This would make having that same arc in ANH kind of weird and redundant, but the makers will not care about that.
Solo will have some contact with the first inklings of the rebellion, and will dismiss them as having no way to win.
Solo will end the film on Tattooine.
In fact Solo will end the film in Mos Eisley, and visit the bar from ANH.
Solo will meet Jabba and start working for him.
That's all I can think of, any other suggestions?

Griffin wrote:"It has Han, Chewie and Lando in it" Thanks Lucasfilm that's really informative.
It’s also going to debut exclusively in movie theaters.
Whoa, whoa! Way to spoil the movie, you two!
There's a rumor that it's set in outer space too!
"If you can't take a little bloody nose, maybe you ought to go back home and crawl under your bed. It's not safe out here. It's wonderous, with treasures to satiate desires both subtle and gross... but it's not for the timid." Q, Q Who
I've always seen the parsec line as him taking shortcuts in the hyperspace lanes (jumping randomly is dangerous).
I also feel this film is either not going to do well, or will be really good and no one will be disappointed because of the lack of hype from trailers, and so through word of mouth it will do well and movie companies will stop releasing so many trailers.
that was a run on...

Ian's the smart one. I'm the good looking one.
Damn right you are.
Fifty fifty on that. I tend to think the idea that Han has been wearing the same clothes for years and years will a bit too much even for the Mouse.
I keep imagining there will be an Indiana Jones 3 type of cut, where child Han is given some article of clothing, then cut scene from behind that clothing to Han getting punched in the face.
Also, the parsec thing, what if Han isn't the pilot for that run? He says in Ep. 4, "the ship that made the Kessel run." Does Lando do the run, then drunkenly tells Han the parsecs story, and Han goes on believing it for the rest of his life?
Also will we learn the correct pronunciation of "Han?" Is it "Hohn," or "Hahn?"

The RLM guys have a video where they talk about this and suggest there will be a future movie about Han buying the outfit he wears in ANH. "My god... a red stripe on the pants! That looks amazing!"

Nah, they'll have Han do it will be my bet.
