Sorry to hear that.McAvoy wrote:My great aunt Martha died today. She was 91. My grandmother is last is last of her generation. She will be 93 next month. Grandpa is 97 and he has outlived his brothers for a long time now.
Also next month is their 73rd wedding anniversary.

Thanks everyone. We knew it was coming. She had a stroke earlier in the year and she never really recovered from it. That and for a few years her health was declining.
I am more concerned about my grandmother at this point.

I have inly meet 3 couples in my job who have been married that long, a 50 year anniversary is pretty amazing let alone more.
What does defeat mean to you?
Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

Aunt Martha and her husband (who died a few years ago) were I believe getting close to their 65 wedding anniversary.Teaos wrote:I have inly meet 3 couples in my job who have been married that long, a 50 year anniversary is pretty amazing let alone more.

Isn't the record or at least the current one for a living married couple like 81 years?

Our parents had their 50th anniversary a few years ago. I took them on a Caribbean cruise. They loved it.Teaos wrote:I have inly meet 3 couples in my job who have been married that long, a 50 year anniversary is pretty amazing let alone more.

I can't believe I'm the first one here to say this, but...
Here's wishing a huge Happy Birthday to both Harrison Ford (73) and Sir Patrick Stewart (75.) Many returns!
