"We have a T-Rex" RIP
What does defeat mean to you?
Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

Re: Richard Attenborough dies
Saw him in The Great Escape just today. Yet another sad loss.
Give a man a fire, and you keep him warm for a day. SET a man on fire, and you will keep him warm for the rest of his life...

Re: Richard Attenborough dies
Of course I'll always remember him for The Great Escape, but the memory I'll always have was of an event that occurred during the filming of the 1994 remake of A Miracle on 34th Street. My wife (then GF) and I were performing as extras for the parade scene. While resetting between takes, a golf cart comes down Central Park West carrying none other than Sir Richard Attenborough in costume. Although his driver/attendant showed no interest in slowing down among us peons, my wife - who had never seen The Great Escape - dashed past all of us paralyzed drooling fanbois and ran towards the cart yelling, "Santa!" Well, that man - already a knight of the realm and beholden to a bunch of extras not in the least - stopped, let my wife sit next to him, take some pics, and mug with him for an NBC magazine show. A man may become succesful, famous, even powerful within his own spheres; but character, generosity, and gregariousness are not qualities that are acquired with fame.
