In that case either of the following would have had to have happened:
1) Someone would have had to begin arraying the tarp while a living person was swimming in the pool, then covered her with it and thought nothing of it; or,
2) She would have had to have gone swimming after the pool was closed, probably involving B&E at the least, then gotten caught underneath and died... then have nobody notice the adult human corpse in the pool for two days following.
Either way, it still beggars belief.

Apparently from what I heard the water was very very murky, which happens very often, so it's not too unsurprising that she wouldn't be seen if she was stuck at the bottom of the pool and didn't come up until the second day of her being under.

Doesn't it take a little while for a human body to sink?Nickswitz wrote:Apparently from what I heard the water was very very murky, which happens very often, so it's not too unsurprising that she wouldn't be seen if she was stuck at the bottom of the pool and didn't come up until the second day of her being under.

Not if she went under and caught herself on something, there are tons of things that can get caught on something and hold you under, and that actually makes sense to me, that after 2 days it would break, or possibly be dislodged.

In a swimming pool? Around here, the threat of litigation alone means that all the types of things that could snag a person are well covered or otherwise idiot-proofed.

This is the best I've gotten about it, all I can think of is that she got caught on something, which deep filters can get caught on very easily, especially since she was incapacitated, and going down a slide. Since the water was unable to be seen past 3 or 4 and in a 12 foot deep pool they usually have filters between 4 and 8 feet deep, depending on the regulations of the area I think, may possibly be just personal preference, so it wouldn't be too improbable for her to get caught on that.
EDIT
Or possibly since she collided with the boy she may have exhaled all of her air in which case she would go down very quickly, which then begs the question of why did she pop back up. Although I think the human body will float after a while even after being emptied of air.

Women will tend to float a bit longer than men will, though even the unlikely circumstances present in this case don't mitigate how bizarre it was that she wasn't found for two days after the fact.

No doubt, the pool should have been cleared out the second the boy said he thought someone went under. It's ridiculous that the pool was even open with the water being that murky.
Re: Body found in public pool 2 days after victim drowned
My way of thinking is that her body somehow got underneath the tarp. I've been to pools where part of the pool was covered. Usually some sort of barrier either put there or designed into the pool will prevent you from going underneath it however. Regardless, I agree it boggles the mind.Mikey wrote:In that case either of the following would have had to have happened:

From the looks of the pictures there is no tarp on this particular pool.
