It did seem odd. Fair enough.Reliant121 wrote:That I concede. I wouldn't dare to be presumptuous enough to tell someone they had.

Re: Do You Google, Or Do You Search The Internet?
Hey it's a topic about Google or a PC Versus Mac Debat?
^^
So I use Google but I search on the web.
(PS: i have thought that Macs are really too expensive and own a better since when i have own my first Computer, but in 2006, i have discover an emac older than my PC, and not so powerful in the paper, but really more faster when he need to do the most of hat we do with a computer... It was the first Mac I used, just during two weeks because it was a school travel.
When the time to change my computer has come, i had doubt. A Sony Vaio or a MacBook Pro? Same price, same Intel Core 2 Duo P8800 but a really different trackpad, OS X and a really long time Battery... I don't regret my choice.
Just ask you somethin: Why 80 to 90% of peoples who buy a Mac want to stay with a Mac?)

No trees were killed in transmission of this message. However, some electrons were mildly inconvenienced.

Because they get used to, and when your used to something you keep using it.
Here's a question... Why can a Linux user switch between Linux, Windows, and Macs without a seeming problem,

Perhaps because Linux is so varied? It's various flavours are radically different to one another and require a certain degree of cross-platforming to get to grips with.

Because if you use Linux you've got to cope with all sorts of wacky inconsistent interfaces, so switching is easy. Plus you can't use Linux for everything so you have to switch to get everything you need.Nickswitz wrote:Because they get used to, and when your used to something you keep using it.

That does make sense.
I happen to love this iPad I'm using to type on the forum.
I had to get used to it at first, but now I love it.
Curious, are either of the Kennedy brothers planning on getting an iPad when it comes out over in England?

The idea of an iPad is great. But it Would have been so much better if it had either a custom interface, or the OS X on it. The iTouch OS really doesn't do it justice IMO.

No plans for me. Everyone that uses it does seem to love it, interesting.Nickswitz wrote:That does make sense.

And yet those that use it seem to love it. I love that you can judge things without ever even trying them.Reliant121 wrote:The idea of an iPad is great. But it Would have been so much better if it had either a custom interface, or the OS X on it. The iTouch OS really doesn't do it justice IMO.

I've seen the same thing Ian, everyone I know loves it, even if they seem to hate Apple they have nothing negative to say about it. For my mom it's perfect for writing and such, on her way to the city, which is every other week pretty much. And she coves it for web browsing, as do I. ![Wink ](./images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)

Actually, I have tried my cousins.
However, I will not deny bias because I have never found the iPhone OS that impressive. Personal preference does cloud my judgement.

Indeed. I am curious whether the features are all they are cracked up to be, and even more curious how they will translate (if at all) onto the iPad.

If they don't it will be stunning, as OS 4 was built with the iPad firmly in mind.Reliant121 wrote:Indeed. I am curious whether the features are all they are cracked up to be, and even more curious how they will translate (if at all) onto the iPad.
