Yeah, the first season wasn't too bad at all. the second season...
*Puts on sunglasses and holds up neuralyzer, flashing everyone* The second season of 'War of the Worlds' did not exist. What you really saw was swamp gas igniting and reflecting the light off of Venus.

Re: Which Universe Would You Like To See More Of?
I remember now, season 1 was basically a "present day" sort of thing. For season 2 it was all "post apocalypse, civilisation has broken down".
What's annoying is that that could actually have been awesome, if they had taken even three or four episodes to show the Martians actually winning a few battles to bring down society. Hell you could do it in one episode - show the good guys discover that they have created an EMP bomb and are set to launch, and the sting in the tail is that this time they are just too late and the Martians win.
But instead... season 2 just sort of lurched into it. The whole collapse of civilisation was dealt with by voice overs in the opening credits! And it just kind of sucked after that.

So did the Martians remember their NBC suits this time?
"You've all been selected for this mission because you each have a special skill. Professor Hawking, John Leslie, Phil Neville, the Wu-Tang Clan, Usher, the Sugar Puffs Monster and Daniel Day-Lewis! Welcome to Operation MindFuck!"

Part of the first ep was that the remains of the Martians were interred in a nuclear waste dump. The radioactivity there killed the bacteria, which let them come back to life. They then posessed human bodies... somehow or other.

Was googling for an image of the suits the Martians war - its the same gay who made the Vorlon suit for B5.
Came across a link to these sculptures in Woking, site of the first landing in the books. This is the kind of art which I'd like to see dotted about in town centres.

"My wife is in hell, where I sent her. She could make good biscuits, but her behavior was terrible."

Yeah, Graham. One hell of a missed opportunity there.
