Re: V 2009
I saw they were replaying the old 'V' series on SyFy. Definately updated style and acting (luckily...).
I, too, felt they rushed the beginning. And if Wounded alien was gonna get married, is he the re-imaged version of the 'medical experiment' to see if the two species are 'genetically' capable, or will that belong to the US Agent's son and the Blond NY 'V' ship girl with the jumpsuit cleavage... just thoughts that came to mind...

Finally saw it; I dig it. I'll keep watching to see if it stays interesting.

I would go with the agents son - the jumpsuit girl seems to fit as the counterpart to the male in the original.Foxbat wrote:I saw they were replaying the old 'V' series on SyFy. Definately updated style and acting (luckily...).

Mayhaps I'm being too judgemental about the pace of the pilot. I would have liked to have seen it a little more drawn out, but now that the story has been established the rest of the series may still shine. I will no doubt watch it regardless, as I did Knight Rider.

Re: V 2009
IDK... I thought the agent-son combo was pretty obvious as the mirror-image analog of the sympathizer father/resistance son (Bates, IIRC) from the original.kostmayer wrote:I would go with the agents son - the jumpsuit girl seems to fit as the counterpart to the male in the original.

Possibly, though he didn't turn up till after the original miniseries. Donovans son got a bit alien friendly in the original didn't he?Mikey wrote:IDK... Agreed, they pulled it in a lot. I think they might have had it so fast paced the first episode so as to get people hooked in. Hit them with a lot of stuff similar to the old V. I don't think it was necessary but hey, whatever.

Re: V 2009
I tend to agree - it seemed like they wanted to get all the hooks aired in the first ep. I think the second one was paced the way the first one should have been, and they could have left some of the reveals for the second ep.Tyyr wrote:Agreed, they pulled it in a lot.
