I'm used to political ads whenever there is something or someone you can vote on. What seems a little new to me is the near constant wave of commercials I've been seeing here trying to get constituents to put pressure on their lawmakers. Especially the sorts of commercials. Usually I think this sort of thing has been more common from the environmentalists sector.
However, while I don't remember all of them, there is tons of stuff relating to health care, but other things like

I'm glad I swallowed my pop before the ad loaded.sunnyside wrote:

It's been near constant attack ads here since before the PC party got in a couple years back. American style BS like "da Liberals want ur guns".

I remember a few months ago they were airing this bullshit on TV here. Apparently they think they will win people to the HFCS side with suburban smugness.sunnyside wrote:However, while I don't remember all of them, there is tons of stuff relating to health care, but other things like

Gotta love it. I'm "liberal" apparently, but I love guns, and believe in the right to private gun ownership.Cpl Kendall wrote:"da Liberals want ur guns"

Unfortunately the federal LIberal party is pro-gun control. Not that it's a bad thing but their responsible for the 2 billion dollar gun registry boondoggle. And the PC's have been flogging that horse like it's going to walk again, cause they know rural voters are one issue morons.
But yeah, I'm very Liberal and I'm pro private ownership. I'm just anit-idiot.

For the last two months you can't walk down a street in Dublin without nearly walking into a pro or anti-Lisbon Treaty sign.
Though by Monday they should mostly be gone. The vote is today.
