Here I am from the second time I took it:

In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

Heh, quite the idealogical trip you went on there, Staplic.

Re: Polical compass time again
well, the second one was taken during the election, so I was heavily influenced by the adds, meaning I saw what they were for and tried to distance myself.
In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

Of course I still think this test is scewed to try and fit more people in the Libertarian side of things, I mean you can define "middle" , numerically, however you like.
And especially I have a beef with the terms they use too. Authoritarian is generally taken to mean more than they mean. They call Bush authoritarian, but he spoke out against authoritarian regimes, because when most people use the term they mean a dictator.
Similarily most people don't know what "libertarian" means until the helpful fellow suggesting the test in the first place takes the opportunity to tell the person what they are.

Read the FAQ, they address some of those points in there. They purposefully use leading questions to provoke emotional responces.
What does defeat mean to you?
Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

I wasn't commenting on that, having extreme propositions makes sense. I wasn't even commenting on how they convolute religion and taste in art in there, which they at least take a crack at explaining.
What I'm talking about is their choice of terms where something everyone in the west agrees is bad is put opposite a moderately known term that they want people to associate with good. And then they set the center where they please. i.e. I score slightly libertarian. But they could have chosen how they analyze the answers to put me somewhere else, it's just a number, and the "center" is wherever they please.
Now it's still a fun little thing, and is a way to compare different people to one another. I also think it does a pretty decent job on the left/right axis, and honstly not so freakish on the other axis.
I just think it clearly has an agenda, and is certainly used as such by Libertarians.

Your political compass
Economic Left/Right: 2.38
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -2.56
I don't have the images, but I've always been purple for some reason. Gravitating more to the right now.

Me then.
Me now.
Only difference is this time I actually looked up a few of them (especially the economic ones) to translate that gibberish into English.
