Unfortunately, the physics they are using is likely not applicable in the situation of warp drives. Thorin would most likely know more, as I've only started to study string theory.
No trees were killed in transmission of this message. However, some electrons were mildly inconvenienced.

Well you need to use just the right kind of verterium cortenide, and calibrate your quantum signature harmonics.

I like knowing what the current "consensus" is on it, so I can update my fiction. Ships in my sci-fi use an Alcubierre spatial warp drive. :wink:
