I just think if we put more effort into nanotech research, we could have an ultimate defense within a decade or so. Let's see the little b*stards adapt to a billion tiny machines chopping them up.

You think people freak out about Nuclear reactors. Think how they'd react to the Borg.

In the modern world it's quite simply not possible to prevent a diesease from spreading across the planet. By the time you recognise it as a threat in the country of origin and decide to take measures against it, it will already have taken root in various other countries. Add in the fact that humans tend to cluster together in massive cities, with many people crowded together on trains, buses and planes......well, let's just say that if a killer pandemic ever does hit the world there'll be one hell of a drop in human population. If a diesease that spread as quickly and easily as flu really did turn out to be fatal, then we could easily be looking at hundreds of millions of people dead before they get a cure for it. Hell, the death toll could easily exceed a billion.

1 in 6 dead? There arent many diseases that have that death rate.
What does defeat mean to you?

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

Or everyone could become me. I don't get sick. Ever. Just allergies.

I know. I'm speaking hypotheticaly. If we ever get hit with some really bad shit, we're fucked.
