Yep. "Mental institution" my ass. Charles Manson is a textbook example of sociopathy, and he belongs whee he is, not in a hospital.

I'm not in the slightest bit aware of details of mental illnesses, since I have never been exposed to it. Meh, I dont particularly care anyway. If its punishment, then I am happy.

Nah, put her in a cell holding the 'putty tat' that mauled Roy Horn (Siegfried and Roy).Royal_Foxx wrote:Hopefully with a 200 pound cat loving cell mate.Rochey wrote:She's a sociopath. It's that simple. There's no cure for that, and they know full well what they're doing. Throw her in jail to rot.

No kidding. Hey I was in TUS last week, that area of the US always reminds me of Mars. Beautiful place though.Vic wrote:Justice, true justice Capt. Jethro.

Re: More of the scum of humanity
A sociopath is basically someone who knows right from wrong but does not care about the distinction. I'd argue that it is a mental illness and IIRC it's defined as one in the DSM under different terms, but it's a type that really doesn't require institutionalization because there isn't really a cure. There is treatment but that needs to happen before a crime is committed. So shoving them in an already over-crowded and under-funded institution isn't the best option, not to mention that the US is light on the "rehabilitation" option anyways.Reliant121 wrote:I'm not in the slightest bit aware of details of mental illnesses, since I have never been exposed to it. Correct, also known as antisocial personality or psychopathy. And complete indefnesible as legal insanity - to plead such in the US, the accused must demonstrate an inability to make moral decisions.Cpl Kendall wrote:A sociopath is basically someone who knows right from wrong but does not care about the distinction.
