Re: Crossover OOC Discussion
Babylon Five? The Q Continuum? Hitchhiker's Guide?
Re: Crossover OOC Discussion
B5 is a better guess. I would like to bring them in the future but that's not what I was planning. Its funny my little brother guessed immediately and he's never read this thread or is even familiar with the universe.
How many Minbari does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
None. They always surrender right before they finish the job and never tell you why.

Homeworld?

I do plan on bringing them in later but noTsukiyumi wrote:Homeworld?

Cookies for Homeworld and B5 but neither is the next mission lol. I guess you guys will have to wait and see and then be like "oh that makes sense."

I added the NPCs to the cast of characters. All the Fed officers are killable. I think I got their names and what happened to them all done. But I really only reread a few posts I remember mentioning them so I might have missed some things. I did also add names to a couple that were nameless.

It'd be great if Janeway tried to get revenge on Roland and Jack at some point.

It would be pathetic too. Roland would gun her to pieces just after Jack beat the pride out of her.

Re: Crossover OOC Discussion
I'm not sure the US actualy helped the G-Man, knowingly at least. We only know they deployed a shitload of HECU troops to Black Mesa, then nuked the facility completely.Monroe wrote:. At the end of Half Life 1 Xen was controlled by Gman's employers, who we never really find out who they are. The game shows dead US soldiers so apparently the US government helped but no one really knows
With the Nihilanth dead, presumably the Xen forces would have fallen into dissaray. Particularly considering that the Vortigaunts seemed to be in a state of passive rebellion when Freeman arrives on Xen (watch the 'gaunts when you're in the Xen factory. They don't attack you at all). My theory is that the invasion force lost cohesion and any real sense of direction, leading to the any that survived the nuking to be mopped up easily by further deployments of US troops. With the enemy on Earth eliminated, they could have advanced through any portals lying around to take the fight to Xen.
It's a pity we never learned any more about them. They were an interesting bunch. I quite liked the Shock Troopers in particular.Monroe wrote:This is the race seen exclussively in Opposing Forces. While they could be the Combine proper chances are they are not because the amount of teraforming creatures that break into the Black Mesa compound in the original Half life. Unlike Xen's purples and pinks these seem to be greens and yellows. Even less is known about them.
Doom?...(10 cookies if anyone can guess whats a major sci-fi universe we have left completely untouched[ edit- isn't Star Wars])...

No its not Doom. Think of a better known sci-fi franchise.
I guess it really doesn't matter who took over Xen. Gman says its in his employers' control so that's good enough for our purposes since unless something changes we don't actually stay on Xen long.

Aye, I don't think we'll know just who controls Xen for a long time. With luck, Episode 3 will clear everything up.Monroe wrote:I guess it really doesn't matter who took over Xen.
