No argument from me on thos last points, though I find your stance on that to be rather leftist based on your positions on some other issues. Not that I mind, though.

To be perfectly honest I've found your mindset about this to be a bit on the extreme side the entire time. Since you didn't make it clear that you were speaking facetiously I chose to take what you said at face value. It's the internet, I don't get the benefit of the verbal and body language clues that would lead me to believe you were going over the top for the hell of it.

Fair enough. I guess I am leaning toward the extreme in this matter, if by that you mean "I believe in a certain way and nothing will change my mind." I just can't get my head around the fact that we are tasking children with policy and law enforcement. If a 14-year-old kid is going to learn how tohandle a gun, he ought to be doing it in order to hunt or for range-shooting. Let adults handle the adult work.

Though I might sound a bit more to the right when I say that allowing immigrants in helps to fill up low education requiring menial labor type jobs that the rest of the populace is in no hurry to do.

For instance I don't have a problem with gay's getting married. I do have a problem with the government being involved in the proceedings at all. Marriage should be between two people and their clergy of choice. And if it's two hot girls, more power to them.

That's one of the main reasons I dislike American politics I find it far too black/white, with people simply slotted into one of the two parties based on roughly where the majority of their beliefs makes them lean. There's really no room for grey areas in US politics.

This all seems rather stupid to me. Patriotism is all good and well, but this seems rather extreme. At sixteen can't say i'm to willing to go on a "crusade" to prevent illegal immigration or something like that.
