Their range isn't that bad. Around 100m. The problem isn't their range, its their ROF.Rochey wrote:Jurgen's got his melta. Those things can fry 40K tanks pretty nicely. Only problem will be getting close enough, due to their short range.Deepcrush wrote:Oh, if their from the Movies then thats easy enough as well. The biggest threat will be Skynet style tanks. We are a good bit short on tank killers here.

Do you think they are resilient vs Huron-Fel's hand weapons...Rochey wrote:Are we talking about Anubis' Kull Wariors?
They're fairly resilient, with rapid-fire weapons built into their wrist armour. IIRC, they go down to C4 but are resilient to most forms of hand weapons, so we'll be needing some heavy weapons there.

We've got two SM's with bolters, a USCMC corpsman with a flamer and a Dreadnought with heavy weapons. We should fare well enough.Rochey wrote:Are we talking about Anubis' Kull Wariors?

what was the raptor who went good guy on the dinobot TV show called? He was always my fav.
And yes Rochey, Anubis' Kull warriors. Kinetic works good for them but they're still pretty resistant. Also Xan has a flak cannon which tears some shit up.

Re: Crossover OOC Discussion
Should be alright, in that case.
The one Jurgen uses seems to be of a different make. It's frequently described as being of short range (most notably in The Traitor's Hand, where Cain bitches about having to get rather close to a rebel Leman Russ to hit it with the melta) and seems to either have a high ROF or some sort of continous fire setting (he's able to continously hold off onrushing hordes of Genestealer cultists in the tunnels on Gravalax without seeming to have to pause to reload).Their range isn't that bad. Around 100m. The problem isn't their range, its their ROF.

Don't forget Primal and Rhinox. They can put out a lot of hurt too. Primal is a lot like a Space Marine and Rhinox is like a fraking 40k Terminator.

I don't think Jurgens melta is all that short range, the incident that Rochey mentions IIRC was because of all the open ground between them and the tank.

Re: Crossover OOC Discussion
Primal is knock-off of the Silverback Gorilla. A normal one is 2m tall and 200-250 kg. That they don't stand up straight costs a great deal of height and that they aren't made out of metal costs them weight. Primal is more likely closer to 2.5m tall and around a half ton.Cpl Kendall wrote:Really? Should have watched more Transformers obviously.
Rhinox, makes Primal look small. Take his name from a rhinoceros. Safe bet he's 4m tall and between 5-6 tons.
Edit, sorry, messed up on Primal's weight.

They've also both got heavy weaponry. Primal in variety while Rhinox's two chain guns shred.

Damnit, people, I go to write up a plan and more posts have appeared in the meantime!
Anyway, any thoughts on my plan?

It also fits with Cain's character pretty well.
While you lot are on the planet, he'll be safe and sound on the ship, busy with these very trying negotiations.![Wink ](./images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)

Maybe we should do some work in here before we post in there.
Your plan works for me.
