At the same time we also want some strain. A Imperium Marine and my protoss dude I just posted probably aren't going to see eye to eye with each other.Deepcrush wrote:No Superman or God-Emperor or God or Chuck Norris or anything like that. Also try to reason how and why your character could and will fit into the group. You don't want to make a character that gets killed right away because he couldn't or wouldn't get along with people.

How many Minbari does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
None. They always surrender right before they finish the job and never tell you why.

Of course a Blood Angel and a Death Guard, also not going to get along to well.
Side note, most Dreadnoughts are about 8m tall but mine is using shoulder mounted weaponry so he might be closer to 9m tall.

I think once him and my Protoss come to an understanding they'll get along great.Deepcrush wrote:Of course a Blood Angel and a Death Guard, also not going to get along to well.![]()

I really hope someone plays a Pacifist. Xan will really horrify them. A cyborg programed to win spectator matches he'll be taunting enemies as he kills them and kill not in the most efficient way but in the most crowd-pleasing way.

Yep, between your cyborg, my dreadnought and the blood lusting SpaceMarine... that would be very funny.

While Cain's not particularly bloodthirsty, I'd imagine hitting someone with a chainsword would still be rather horriffic looking. You are basicaly whacking them with a chainsaw, after all.

I can't imagine anyone knows too much about my char, as C.S. Goto's Deathwatch series were some of the worst books in the Black Library. However, Ashok is pretty damned hard to get along with - aside from being on the edge of complete homicidal mania, he's a bit of loner, insubordinate (for a Space Marine, which means not really in general,) and an all-around sneaky bastard.

Boy, it's gonna be fun if there are any non-humans tagging along. ![Laughing ](./images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)

Yep. Ashok's primary and especial hatred is reserved for Tyranids; he's even worked in league with (although having been set up by) Ulthwe Eldar, but he is after all a Space Marine of the Deathwatch.Rochey wrote:Boy, it's gonna be fun if there are any non-humans tagging along.

Re: Possible New RP Discussion Thread
On further reflection, I think Cain might deal relatively well with xenos for a 40K human. He was chatting pretty casualy with the Kroot on Gravalax, and had no problems about teaming up with the Tau later on when they were sweeping the sewers for Genestealers. Heck, IIRC he even tried to get the Tau fireteam to retreat once things went completely FUBAR, rather than just leave them to die as a distraction.
I think as long as the aliens aren't looking to kill him, he'll do okay.

Can we get this and the other RP thread moved to the new section? Thanks.

Has ANYBODY ever heard of either of my characters?
They say that in the Army,
the women are mighty fine.
They look like Phyllis Diller,
and walk like Frankenstein.
