lichen, moss, who cares if it'll help keep us alive? We've got enough troubles without worrying about the taxonomy of our only food source. Mark, let me see if I can help you with that reclamator and maybe a dew trap.

The reason I want to go into the caves so bad is because theres food in the caves, and food will help us survive, as willl water, which is also in the cave.

I agree with Mark, you seem to have an almost unhealthy interest in that cave. Well, if you're so set to go into that cave, you probably shouldn't go in their alone. You want I should come with? Or someone with more weapons experience?

Didn't you say like a couple hours ago you would come, because your a boyscout or something, this cave is our home, and that cave is going to be our source of food until we're rescued. And bob said he would come too, I hope he does, the more that are with me, the safer I feel.

Fair enough. So 3 people seem like a good scouting party?

It seems like a fairly safe bet, I'm hoping the two of you aren't founders though, that would suck really bad.

Indeed it would. But hey, you and bob could be founders (you are related afterall...). I'll assume for the time being that you're not tho.

::returns from working on the array again::

well good news is the transmitter is working and I've got the signal up about as high as it will go...bad news is it's only strong enough to reach the neighboring system, and we can't risk a continuous transmission if any of the planets around here have discovered radio waves yet.

::thinks about the predicament while the scouting party forms up::

don't founders have to reliquify ever few hours or something?

Dunno. If so, they'll probably do it while we're asleep.

Yeah, I have no clue either, but I doubt they would up and liquify while we we're watching them or anything. That would be an invitation for death.

Haven't ANY of you ever seen those holo-programs based on those 20th century movies? One thing I learned is, stay out of dark places!

Of course, if you happen to find a cow back there somewhere, I can grill a mean steak.

Mark, we scanned the planet before the ship was even burning, with an intensive scan, there are no lifeforms on this planet.
