Re: SEALs 1 Pirates 0
Gotta love that. They're the ones trying to steal and hold people to ransom, and we're the bad guys for killing them.
I say, f*ck 'em. Watch their coast with satellites, and sink any boat that gets more than 5 miles offshore. Let's see how much piracy they can commit then.

Yeah, I know. International maritime laws, etc.
Just thought I'd point out my awareness of them before someone else tries to use that argument.

Remember that personal rights are there to protect criminals from unfair law enforcement that might interfer with their careers of choice.

Wait...what? International maritime law allows for any world Navy to engage and sink pirates at will, there was even a recent UN resolution backing it up.Tsukiyumi wrote:Yeah, I know. International maritime laws, etc.

No, I meant my suggestion to sink any vessel going past five miles from their coast.Cpl Kendall wrote:Wait...what? Ahh, seen. Still it shouldn't be too hard to figure out who's who in that area. You need a boat with a reasonably deep hull to be able to catch a large cargo ship, so that rules out the little guy out there fishing.Tsukiyumi wrote:

Good to hear more action being taken against these pirates.

Yeah, I call BS. This thing has "propaganda" written all over it.BEIJING, April 14 (Xinhuanet) -- Thousands of dolphins blocked the suspected Somali pirate ships when they were trying to attack Chinese merchant ships passing the Gulf of Aden, the China Radio International reported on Monday.
The Chinese merchant ships escorted by a China's fleet sailed on the Gulf of Aden when they met some suspected pirate ships. Thousands of dolphins suddenly leaped out of water between pirates and merchants when the pirate ships headed for the China's.
The suspected pirates ships stopped and then turned away. The pirates could only lament their littleness befor the vast number of dolphins. The spectacular scene continued for a while.

You've got to give it to the Chinese though - they're not ones for half-measures.Rochey wrote:Yeah, I call BS. This thing has "propaganda" written all over it.

Yeah, they sure don't pull punches when it comes to making shit up.
Come on, thousands of dolphins defending ships against pirates? Are there even that many dolphins in that region?
