In six months? :?

Why would not being able to make the same deal in six months affect the deal he's trying to make now?

However that may be, I don't take offense - I've worked in places where shady dealings were the norm - and I walked out of those places. However, there are two sets of people in auto sales who lie more than the salesmen - the dealers to their salesmen; and the customers to their salesmen. It is a long-standing adage in our business that "buyers are liars."

Very true.

What he's promising is unrestricted access to out loaner fleet, for as long as he owned the car. In six months, we are completely eliminating said fleet, so he will be one pissed off customer when he calls expecting a loaner car

Hmmm. As long as the salesman mentioned the fact that the loaner fleet might be going bye-bye, then fine. If not, then he's being a prick.

I heard the conversation. Nothing about it going away, and he didn't mention that we don't give cars for less than 4 hours of work, either. We'll end up having to deal with a ticked off client.

But this clown is famous for promising whatever he needs to, to close.
