Looks like things could get interesting this year. Who would have thought that Button, the man who used to be Lewis Hamilton, would rise from the dead so dramaticaly?

And Honda/Brawn GP for that matter. Only a few months ago they were shuttling up shop, and Button and Barrichello were out of their jobs. Now they've come into the first race of the season, qualified on pole, and lead from the grid to the chequered flag. Good for them.

I take it you didn't see Barrichello's marginally less than perfect start, then!
Brilliant race to watch anyway - Ross Brawn was a brilliant technical director at Ferrari for Schu & co., I'm sure he'll be happy at the result this weekend. He's probably the luckiest man after Branson, who I'm pretty sure only sponsored them about a day before qualifying started - I bet he'll have made the made the most he's ever made in such a short period of time just from this weekend

I saw it. I also saw the chaos he caused going into the first couple of corners. Nonetheless, the way came back from a bad start and several dents in his car to finish second was pretty impressive.

Both of them. I was somewhat unimpressed with Vettel's stunt of trying to keep going with his front left wrapped round the nose.

The team still led from start to finish, if even Barrichello didn't have quite as flawless a race as Button.

The problem was that under the safety car no one was allowed to overtake him, so he tried to use that rule to hang onto seventh. He'd have been disqualified even if he'd made it to the finish, given that the rules state that if the car's severely damaged the driver has to get it off the track.

I found the whole thing rather reminiscent of some images I remember with great fondness from Spa ten years ago, of Schumacher trundling back to the pits minus his front left and front wing.
