10 Years of FarScape

Post by Varthikes »

Precisely 10 years ago on March 19, 1999, the world was introduced to the delightfully weird Universe of FarScape.

To commemorate this event, I'm watching my Season 1 favorites. Tonight, I watched the Premiere. Even though it's only 3 1/2 years for me, I always find it to be a nostalgic experience. Bringing me back to the night I first tuned in for FarScape. When I had no idea the kind of ride I was getting myself into.

So, anyone else celebrating?

I've been thinking about starting that series. I don't know if I could handle 10 seasons though. Would take a long time to get through.

Hmm, I think I saw the first few episodes of this. Can't really remember whether it was any good, though.

It was, but you couldn't watch it casually - it demanded full concentration.

FarScape only has 4 seasons plus a 3-hour miniseries/movie.

No I was thinking 10 years of Farscape meant 10 seasons :P I could handle 4. Just have to finish up 24.

No celebrations for me, but about once a year I borrow it from a buddy and spend a few days watching the whole thing from beginning to end. Actually, I'm about due.

My second favorite sci-fi of all time. The aliens actually looked like aliens! *gasp*

Yeah, FarScape really does have the coolest aliens.
