Do you mean you're not willing, or am I reading too much into that?

There's always in vitro, you know.
Almost not willing. But, I have a relatively strange hatred of small children. One of our teachers brought her baby in to school recently, and You have no idea how uncomfortable i was being near it. I dont know why. I simply despise, with every fibre that i have, small children.
That will change with age, most males your age are equally uncomfortable. A lot of it is that you don't know what to do with them.

While I can respect that, I get the inclinations otherwise. On the contrary, I'm told that when I have to, I'm really good with children. Know exactly what to do with them (babies in family).

I just despise being around them. What they are. I know that I was once one, but even that makes me shudder.

Well while it might be irreversible it can still become worse. So we still have a reason to prevent it.

You know, just try adoption. i suppose the disgusting part of children is going away by the age of 4, when they start to show some intelligence.

But all behavior defects are included by that age.

That's where the parents come in, to make that heap of misery into something in which they invested around 16 years of blood, sweat and tears and shitloads of money.

Yeah I don't want kids really. Not really opposed to it but I'd rather they be my broodlings and spawns than someone else's.

I was involved with some research (at the undergrad level) at my university that involved the catalytic conversion of CO2 into fuel. Somewhat relevant to the discussion I suppose . . .

Are you referring to, um, toilet habits? I wouldn't trade all those diaper changes for the magical nonverbal bonding I had with my daughter when she was an infant, nor would I trade them in advance for the same thing I'm looking forward to with my son.

hell, I could have told you this three months ago when I joined...the earth naturally goes through periods of heat and cold (ice ages), we may have accelerated the swing, but it's going to happen anyway.
In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

True. What's also true is that geological evidence says it never changes this fast, unless something extremely drastic happens.

Any meteor impacts in your area lately? :?

It'd be one thing if this were a natural phenomenon; the fact that we did this means it's our responsibility to fix.

idk...we may have accellerated the warmth, but the planet eventually cools itself off.

In fact according to one theory I've heard, the heat will trigger a cooling trend by shutting off the ocean currets that bring heat north/shough, allowing the ice caps to grow and plunge us into an ice age.

That is another probable outcome; either way, we caused it, and this is going to screw us over personally, not some people in a distant era. Which pisses me off.

yes, but the important thing is that we'll learn from this and do better, doing what we can to limit our current effect and keep our species living through the upcomming iceage.

we're moving along like any individual develops...slowly we make mistakes learn from them and move on.

Yeah, except I was learning about this problem in third grade... Twenty years ago. :?

In the meantime, nothing has been done to change things until just now. This "slowly addressing problems whenever we feel like it" BS needs to stop.
