sorry to hear it Tsu...but back to the vs. site.

It sounds like a site Seafort linked to for me earlier b/c they've got a quick search cannon referance database for both trek and wars.

That guy was a huge moron too... for some reason he thought that Wars wepons and shielding was hugely supirior to Federation. Then he proceeded to say that even if they weren't the Wars' numbers would overwhelm the Feds, (which is probably true.) but still, in my opinion he's just a fracking moron.

PS I'm going into the new one here so...If someone notices that my universe stopes expanding, I leave you with the knowledge that I will self terminate before I am corrupted. :P
In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

well I survived un-harmed.

I must say, while this is rather pointless, at least it's much more well done than the previously mentioned one. At least this guy is objective and presenting facts, not bending "dramatic cannon" to fit his pro-wars arguement.

Be warned, you are coming very close to a VS discussion here. Discussion of the sites themselves is fine, not of the subject material.

As for Starfleetjedi, I think the funniest thing to ever come out of that site was the arguments they had with the guys from Stardestroyer.net.

Going by his mention of a canon database, I'd guess he's talking about SDN.

Asuming that's the site he's talking about:

Care to provide examples of him "bending 'dramatic canon'"?

ya I can do that... just want to say i'm not trying to spark or get into a verses debate, I was just talking about the site.

anyway, the guy would use only seleced cannon examples. When he wanted Starfleets sheilds to be weaker he'd choose eps where the writers made the sheilds dramaticly weaker to add to the dramatc effect. I call the dramatic cannon because while it is cannon usually it's much different from what we're used to and it's that way so the plot has more drama and suspence.

It's canon, a cannon is a large vehicle mounted weapon.

If that Gstone is the same Gstone I think it is, we may have our fourth scn member coming over. Please do realize the dangers you are bringing in :p

He's got pretty much every canon incident in TNG from which shield strength can be calculated in the database. Likewise with power output and PT strength. Never mind the fact that for the purposes of analysis under suspension of disbelief "dramatic effect" does not exist.

yes, he has them all but he only points to the dramaticly weaker ones when analyzing...

No, he points to all of them. Note the comments down the right hand side of the database - that's analysis. All the numbers agree to within a few orders of magnitude.

I'm talking outside the database, in the essays and articals.
