That is precisely what I'd do, if I had a significant other.

I work at Radio Shack, so I had no choice but to be out during Black Friday because I was on the schedule to work from 5:30am (we opened at 6am) to 2:30pm. I work on commission, so my paycheck will be nice and fat, because I by myself sold 3 32" LCD HDTVs, 2 laptops, 7 GPS units, and a gaggle of other things. My wife was smart and stayed home and bought a Nintendo DS Lite/Brain Age bundle pack from amazon.com for $126, and also had her sister go to Wal Mart for us and buy the girls a 12 ft. trampoline with enclosure for $150.

I know you can appreciate a good joke for what it is, Kendall - but I can't bring myself to post what I'm thinking.

As to Black Friday - when I was in retail, I actually looked forward toit in a way, because a good Black Friday could correct an awful lot of problems. Example - in one store I ran, we did an average of about $5,000 in business on a typical summer day. One Black Friday, we did $250,000. It was also a good day to weed out the dead weight in the staff. However, with the advent of "Cyber Monday," there is just no call or use for things like the Wal-Mart stampede.
