Hell, I wouldn't even know Obama had a VP if it wasn't for this site.
Honestly, I've seen zero mentions over here of him.

Which is weird, as he's the best-qualified candidate in the race, IMO.

I'd think Biden would be played up outside the US, because of his tremendous amoung of foreign policy experience.

Re: The Palin is an idiot thread
Funny you should mention that, i saw a political cartoon the other day with McCain's political advisor pointing to a board with Palin in the big red letters over McCain's while saying, "For the good of the campaign we're making a small change"GrahamKennedy wrote:Hence the whole "idiot" aspect.Lt. Staplic wrote:She didn't know what the Bush Doctorine Was! As a "darling of the right" she should know what the f'n Bush Doctorine is.
Have to say, from this side of the pond the US election headlines are all, and I mean ALL, about Palin and Obama. McCain seems almost a nonentity, and I don't even remember the last thing I heard about Biden.

In the normal Media there is almost nothing about Biden over here. You have to look for it to find it.
What does defeat mean to you?
Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

On the new that i happen to watch, i see nothing about either Obama or Biden. Its all negative stuff toward Palin and McCain. That must count for something, that the Republican nominees are getting hit like hell, and the Democrats are both doing pretty comfortably.

?
I haven't seen hardly anything negitive coming from Obama. He's taken pride that he's run a fairly clean campain thus far.
Who's sponsoring the negitive ads?

They were referring to the news coverage in the UK. I'm fairly certain neither side is running campaign ads over there; negative or positive.Lt. Staplic wrote:?

Re: The Palin is an idiot thread
Really? I think the UK constituency is a sorely neglected voting block.
The relative absence of Obama/Biden in the news overseas is probably due to the fact that the question of who's better for the world-at-large outside the US - Obama or McCain - is such a one-sided, slam-dunk issue that there's little to talk about.

I think there's a few countries that support McCain.

Who?
Other than Georgia, I mean.
Obama: Best presidential candidate in the last few years, and if elected would be the first black president of the US in history. It also helps that he's smart and knows what he's doing.
McCain: Semi-senile war veteran who's always good for pointing and laughing at.
Palin: Do I really need to say why the newspapers are always talking about her?
Like someone else here said; the issue of who should be president of the US is, to us, so freaking one sided that the media over here can't make a big issue out of it like they normaly could. Everyone over here knows Obama should win, and virtualy everyone over here is convinced Obama will win. The only way the newspapers can sell copies with election related stuff is by giving readers a laugh by pointing out McCain/Palin's latest idiocy.

I think it's because he's so suited, no one over here ever talks about him: he's just not interesting enough. Look at the other people involved:I'd think Biden would be played up outside the US, because of his tremendous amoung of foreign policy experience.

Re: The Palin is an idiot thread
I endorse this thread.
And I read the Foster's Daily Democrat, the Boston Herald and the Portsmouth Herald. Does this make me more qualified than Palin?
And that interview with Couric... what the hell is she talking about?!???
