Did the captain call me an it at the staff meeting? Realistically I would've corrected him (right before I send him to sickbay for an hour or two) I thought I made it clear to never call me an it. 'It' suggests a lack of intelligence(like an animal) and lack of gender. Plus it's just plain rude.

I know that you don't like being called it. But you have never brought it up in story so I was trying to creat some minor character friction between you. I imagin it would happen a lot unless someone was fully read up on herms. Something the majority of people aren't.

Calling me it was the worst way to do that. In an another RPG I once shot one of my own allies for that. Clearly I won't go that far on a Starfleet ship, but I'm still very temted to give him a broken jaw, or at least a black eye.

But unless you tell people how are they to know. You can't expect everyone to know stuff like this. I made the Captain do it because he had just granted you a favour of letting you build a whole new ship and then does this. What to do?

Doing that to your captain would put you in military prison. No matter what he called you.

Remember to strike or disobey the capt puts you against the whole of security. And forget prison, this is a combat ship with troops on station in every high value room. The bridge guards would shoot you on sight for such a thing.
