Star Trek: Kepler
If this ad is out of line I apologize, and if the mods feel it's inappropriate I won't squawk if it gets taken down. The year is 2402, a year after the Borg Queen’s attempt to enslave/destroy Humanity. Starfleet is all but devastated in the aftermath, having suffered casualties not seen since the Do...

Re: Lasting Impressions
Personally I found the Bortus/Klyden story to be hilarious. Something about two aliens smoking kept making me laugh. As for the "A" plot, it wasn't until I finished watching it that I realized that the episode was inspired by the film noir Laura, starring Dana Andrews and Gene Tierney and ...

Re: The Orville
Yeah I've kept up with it. Interesting how they have some big guest stars like Liam Neeson and Charleze Theron. Has STD had any big guest stars yet?

Re: The Orville
I've watched the following couple episodes and I've enjoyed them. I felt the episode about the baby was a little heavy handed but I thought the ending took guts seeing as it was not really a happy ending, or at least bittersweet. I haven't seen any STD episodes so I honestly can't comment on it, but...

Re: The Orville
I finally(!) got around to watching the first episode tonight on Hulu. I thought it was decent. Not awesome but it was fun and enough for me to come back for episode two.

Re: Top-10 Musical Artists
I can't give a particular order because my tastes can change from day to day. But for a top ten Kate Bush (of course) Queen The Beatles The Rolling Stones Elton John/Bernie Taupin Billy Joel Pat Benetar Electric Light Orchestra Genesis Idina Menzel Styx and Peter Gabriel just miss the cut. I know it...

Kate Bush, Hounds of Love https://youtu.be/VerK4zwMRQw Having trouble embedding the video here, not sure what I'm doing wrong. :/ Kate Bush is somewhat of an anomaly to me. If I wasn't a big music fan, especially of this style, I'd have next to no knowledge of her, as she is almost exclusively a Br...

Re: Meeting/seeing actors in the flesh
I shook Chuck Yeager's hand once, about 25 years ago. I met James Doohan at a grocery store opening, Walter Koenig at University of Michigan Dearborn in '88. Marina Sirtis signed something for me and I had a nice little exchange with her regarding music that made my friend smile. I asked her if she ...

Star Trek: Lionheart
Hello! It's been forever and a day since I've been here. I was wondering whether or not anyone still RPs via pbem any more, and if so would they be at all interested in my game. The link to the web site is below. https://lionheart-1.obsidianportal.com/ Also if anyone wants to critique the stats I ga...

Re: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
I'm still watching, and I think the second half of this season has improved dramatically. I gather the last two episodes of this season are set before and after the Winter Soldier movie, and explore the setup and aftermath of what happened in it. That should be very, very interesting. Agreed. The s...

The P-38 is a beautiful plane and one of my favorites. But I am always going to have a soft spot for the P-40 Tomahawk. I even have a print of William S. Phillips' Into The Teeth of The Tiger hanging on my wall: http://media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/originals/fb/5d/6f/fb5d6f05ec57bbfec03dc46b4a792075.jp...

I found book three to be complete shit and I gave up on the series partway through book four.
