Re: NEXT GENERATION TECHNICAL MANUAL HUH?
I don’t care if you don’t believe me. Check google books. The tech manual is there. I own the ePub copy of it, read it if you like. I removed the copy and pasted info out of courtesy for the site and because “no portion may be used without permission” disclaimer in every book out there.

Re: NEXT GENERATION TECHNICAL MANUAL HUH?
I suppose I should back up and explain, I'm a mechanical engineer. Symbols and something to the power of, would've clued me in to larger amounts. ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
but to show what I mean, this is (exactly) how it is written in this copy.

Re: NEXT GENERATION TECHNICAL MANUAL HUH?
That's also incorrect usage. Should be kilowatts per hour to begin with. Not sure how you measure energy per square measurement. While it seems low but total energy discharge for a phased really isn't alot. Seems to have the energy of a very small explosive. Enough to kill people nearby but not eno...

Re: NEXT GENERATION TECHNICAL MANUAL HUH?
Noticed something funny in the manual tonight (page #151). If the ships self destruct sequence is activated, "Matter from the primary deuterium tankage and the total supply of antimatter from the storage pods on Deck 42 are expelled simultaneously, producing an energy release on the order of 1...

Re: Typo error (and other) found
Ok! thank you! I do try to keep the differences in mind (like Favor vs. Favour above). I believed the manoeuvrable was incorrect when I looked at where the "v" is in the spelling. So my bad, thank you ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

Re: NEXT GENERATION TECHNICAL MANUAL HUH?
I really think they meant to say Gigajoules (or greater). On page #143, the manual states the following about handheld phaser power cells, "Energy is stored within a replenishable sarium krellide cell. Sarium krellide holds a maximum of 1.3 × 106 megajoules per cubic centimeter , at a maximum l...

Re: NEXT GENERATION TECHNICAL MANUAL HUH?
So run these numbers and see if they jive? 1 gigajoule = 0.24 tons of TNT http://convert-to.com/conversion/energy/convert-gj-to-tn.html The above gives the following numbers. Amount : 4.1 gigajoules (GJ) Equals : 0.98 tons of TNT (tn) http://www.kylesconverter.com/energy,-work,-and-heat/megajoules-t...

More typo's http://www.ditl.org/ship-page.php?ClassID=feddaedalus&ListID=Lineage "The number of Daedalus class ships was allowed to gradually fall as ships reached the end of their hull life and retired. Initially it was planned to retire the crusier -type altogether in favour of large numb...

Re: Future of the site
We are worse than the Borg. We are the Kennedy’s. At least we were. The Borg are Eternal. Respectfully Ian, I disagree. SEVEN: The Borg have no concept of an afterlife. However, when a drone is deactivated, its memories continue to reside in the Collective's consciousness. As long as the hive exist...

Re: Past tense part 1 & 2
A lot of states are demanding updated ID’s and enhanced driver’s licenses. Birth certificates and passports are gradually being phased out. Yep. Face value it makes sense. You need an ID and valid one, in case of mistaken identity, identity theft etc. But someone that could be an issue is people th...

Re: Future of the site
I was wondering about this. As far as the writing, can I suggest using one of the forum members as a editor? Spellchecker, grammar etc? Maybe not have access to the site but use him/her through email to review and edit anything you will put on the site? I am not nominating myself. My engloosh no so...
