When I was selling trucks, I was trying to arrange a visit to the GM medium-duty production facility in Flint, MI, only to be told that the plant closes for the three weeks before Christmas. Why before Christmas? As I found out, it was due to the opening of Michigan’s deer season.

If i’m reading him correctly, I believe that GK isn’t lending credence to the idea of criticism being based on “toxic masculinity,” but rather critiquing the idea of claiming such to refute critics.
