Re: TNG's Most Unwatchable Episode
I’m thinking “The Naked Now.” If I wanted to see TOS reruns, then I’d watch TOS reruns.

Re: What's the latest in people's lives?
When I was selling trucks, I was trying to arrange a visit to the GM medium-duty production facility in Flint, MI, only to be told that the plant closes for the three weeks before Christmas. Why before Christmas? As I found out, it was due to the opening of Michigan’s deer season.

Re: The Joke Thread
A hobo comes across a young woman preparing to jump off a cliff. “Hey,” he says, “ since you’re going to jump anyway, wanna have sex?”
The woman screams, “Get out of here, sicko!”
“Fine,” grumbles the hobo, “I’ll just wait at the bottom.”

In fact, I had the opportunity to meet and share an elevator with Ms. Harry about a decade ago. Considering her actual age, she has aged well, and the pipes are there every bit as much as they ever were.

Also popped in my head, the all female Ghostbusters has similar problems. Meaning, fans of that movie think men don't like it because of the all female cast. But when reality that was a poorly done movie. You can look on YouTube about its director basically insulting fans. Exactly GK’s point - rath...

If i’m reading him correctly, I believe that GK isn’t lending credence to the idea of criticism being based on “toxic masculinity,” but rather critiquing the idea of claiming such to refute critics.

I loved this episode. Ed showing an obviously fallible and vulnerable side, yet still clinging on to a forlorn hope both personally (“You made me a grilled cheese!”) and globally with his much-maligned but poignant hope for the beginnings of peace was great. Gordon’s quest for strange self-improveme...

Not me, I’m afraid. The closest story I have is a late uncle who was the absolute polar opposite of PTSD.It wasn’t until he was in his eighties that I even found out (by accident) that not only did he earn a Purple Heart in North Africa in WWII, but he managed to somehow beg/lie/wheedle his way into...
