Battle of the Brown Dwarf - Images

The USS Enterprise arrived at Finibus III to find that the colony had been destroyed and the colonists were missing. [1]

An unmarked ship was soon discovered in orbit. [1]

It turned out to be the surviving colonists and was docked with the Enterprise to evacuate it. [1]

Nearing the end of the evacuation a Gorn ship appeared and started firing. [1]

Scoring direct hits on the Enterprise... [1]

...and the colony ship, destroying it in the process. [1]

Significant damage is caused to the Enterprise. [1]

Which enters a brown dwarf in order to regroup and recover and to even the odds. [1]

The Gorn ship follows it in. [1]

The Enterprise uses a tracking system devised by Mr Spock to follow the Gorn and drop a photon torpedo on it, destroying it. [1]

Unfortunately, two more ships rapidly appear, together with a Gorn destroyer. The Enterprise decends. [1]

A Gorn ship follows it down... [1]

...but, cannot cope with the pressure. [1]

Spock and La'An take a shuttle to see if the coast is clear, witnessing the Gorn communicating with light flashes. [1]

La'An asks Spock to perform a mind meld in order to recover memories of her last encounter with the Gorn. [1]

They recover a memory that Manu had cracked the communication code. [1]

They use the code to trick the Gorn into destroying their own ship. [1]

The Enterprise departs the brown dwarf and is followed by the Gorn Destroyer. [1]

The Enterprise hides in the accretion disc of the black hole. [1]

Releasing the atmospheric processor... [1]

...and detonating it, tricks the Gorn into believing that the Enterprise has been destroyed. [1]
